happy birthday to me:
my mum told me i was being selfish by wanting to spend the day with my siblings.. and then they all promptly left me home alone, without a car.. so they could go to my cousin’s 1st birthday party. i’m thinking there’s a disconnect here? i’m thinking she’s making me feel guilty. i don’t want to. and i don’t. but.. whatever.

i can’t stand the sight of myself in the mirror. don’t get me wrong, i appreciate not wearing makeup for the simple fact that i can rub and poke and smudge my eyes all i desire and not have to suffer black-smudgy consequences. but still.
my eyes aren’t as bright. my face not as fresh. i’m not as beautiful in my own eyes. i’m not what i’m used to. and i forget about it,...
